Transitional Employment Opportunity (TEO)

Goodwill is committed to providing services to individuals who are re-entering the workforce and community after a period of incarceration. Our staff understands the challenges and offers a supportive environment.

The 16-week TEO job training program provides temporary employment at Goodwill where you will gain marketable skills attractive to employers. In addition, you will build a resume, develop positive work behaviors and earn a weekly paycheck to help you prepare for competitive employment. Goodwill’s Career Centers can also assist you in overcoming any background barriers.

Goodwill Industries of Arkansas, Inc. provides reentry services through the LifeLaunch Reintegration Program and the Rock City Reentry Project.  Both grants were originally funded by the U.S. Department of Labor to provide the opportunity for community and faith-based organizations, states, and local governments to improve outcomes for adults age 25 and older who have been incarcerated in the adult criminal justice system and released from prison or jail within 180 days. Goodwill offers a range of services designed to assist eligible individuals in certain census tracts in Pulaski County, Arkansas with training, career planning, supportive services, and employment placement services.

The Goodwill® Adult LifeLaunch Reintegration Program is made possible with a grant award of $4.5 million, covering 74 percent of costs, from the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration. Twenty-six percent of the Goodwill Adult LifeLaunch Reintegration Program activities and services will be supported with $1.6 million in leveraged resources.  The Rock City Rentry Program is made possible with a grant award from the U.S. Department of Labor to the Little Rock Workforce Development Board.
