DIY – SKELETON LEGS FROM THRIFTED JEANS
Goodwill is your Halloween headquarters! Each day, people donate clothes and other items that can be transformed into unique Halloween costumes, including clothing and accessories from different eras, imaginative props and more! You can find great costumes for you and your squad while staying within budget. Not to mention your costume will be one-of-a-kind and different from everyone else’s costume!
You can make simple DIY costumes or unleash your creativity to make big and elaborate costumes. To give you a little inspiration, check out this quick and easy way to make skeleton jeans with items you can find at your local Goodwill for under $10.
1.) Find a pair of thrifted jeans and start drawing out bones with chalk.
2.) Make sure the design lines up on each leg – Adjust if necessary.
3.) Once you’re happy with your design, fill in with white fabric or acrylic paint.
4.) Once dry, you can remove the excess chalk from the previous outline with a damp rag.
5.) You may apply a second coat if needed or just to touch up.
6.) If your jeans are black, add black acrylic paint to the outside of the bones to enhance the edges.
7.) Let your design completely dry and you are ready to go!!
