A million times yes! Donations are the lifeblood of our organization. Once you make a donation, it circulates through what we at Goodwill call the donation cycle. Donations help people and the environment. Good quality clothing, furniture and items like books, toys and dishes, stay in-use and out of landfills. Donated items are sorted and processed for resale in Goodwill retail stores, providing an affordable shopping alternative for the community. 96% of the revenue generated through our stores goes toward funding our mission of changing lives through education, training and employment. When given the proper training and counseling, finding a job becomes easier. Your donations have a real impact on real people in your community!

Take Moriah for instance. Life was rocky for Moriah. As a child, she was adopted twice, and as an adult, she was in an abusive relationship for 13 years. She first walked into Goodwill Industries of Arkansas two years ago to receive career services, but she moved back to Oregon where she found herself sleeping on beaches and doing drugs for the first time. Last year, she decided to change her life. She stopped using drugs and moved back to Arkansas. She visited Goodwill’s Career Center in Springdale and received help on her resume, job search and Supplemental & Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Moriah said, “Goodwill gave me hope to get back on my feet.” Today, she works at Springdale Health and Rehab. She recently took and passed the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) test and she is looking forward to taking her upcoming skills test!

We want to give a HUGE shout out to our donors and shoppers! You have helped improve the quality of living of Arkansans by supporting our organization. Please be an ambassador for Goodwill in your community and help spread the word about our mission to your friends and family. Thank you. Because of you, Good Will Happen!
